Inside the Willow Heights Mansion
Morgan Hill wedding guests were welcomed into the mansion by a grand spiral staircase and wide open entryway. The stairs led to a landing with two rooms on either side. Our Willa Weddings bride and groom, Bridgette & Dominic, decided to have their first look out side of the mansion. Willow Heights Mansion is a historic estate in Morgan Hill, CA. An Intimate Wedding Ceremony
Bridgette and Dominic were looking for a venue that could hold their 50+ guests but also allow plenty of space for them to dance. Willow Heights Mansion was the perfect fit! This beautiful estate not only has a lot of character, but it also features updated amenities with high ceilings and original architecture. During the ceremony, Bridgette walked down the outdoor aisle with her father to Mendelssohn's "Venetian Wedding March" played by an organist. Once she reached the end of the aisle, she turned around and faced her groom standing at the alter in his black tuxedo. After exchanging vows, they kissed and sealed their vows with a ring exchange. The entire event felt like something out of a fairy tale and Willa Weddings was elated to be their Morgan Hill Wedding Photographer.
After the ceremony: Celebrating with wedding guests
After the ceremony, it’s time to welcome guests and celebrate. Willow Heights offers both indoor and outdoor spaces, so you get the option to have your reception inside, out on the veranda or in one of the mansion’s many rooms.
The Food at Willow Heights Mansion
The food at Willow Heights Mansion is also one of the biggest factors that make this venue stand out. The menu options are abundant and all include a variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The catering team can offer gluten-free fare as well as vegetarian, vegan, or kosher options. They have a large variety of salads to start the meal if you’re looking for something lighter or a mixed green salad with fresh fruit for something more filling. The main course includes dishes like a turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, prime rib au jus, slow roasted beef brisket with horseradish cream sauce, salmon with citrus butter sauce, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, grilled chicken breast topped with raspberry chipotle glaze and a whole grain mustard béarnaise sauce. There are also plenty of sides to choose from including fresh vegetables, macaroni and cheese casserole served in mini cast iron skillets, rosemary garlic smashed potatoes with browned garlic butter and pan seared garlic green beans. Even dessert doesn’t disappoint! You can choose an assortment of cakes or pies like peach pie with vanilla ice cream or pumpkin cheesecake topped off with whipped cream. Or you could go for the traditional wedding cake option which includes almond cake layered in chocolate ganache frosting paired with an assortment of rich fillings like strawberry mascarpone cheese cake or German chocolate cake layer in coconut pecan ganache frosting
